Orientation Week Concludes for Fall Quarter
A week-long orientation ended at each of Olivet University's (OU) respective location in Riverside, San Francisco, and New York. Freshmen from different countries and diverse cultural backgrounds were excited to start their new academic life at OU.
The orientation week started with an opening service and sermons delivered by selected Olivet Theological College and Seminary (OTCS) professors. The orientation held daily study sessions covering the 4 main themes of the Bible.
"Listening to messages allowed me to experience and reflect on God's love more. My conviction to study at Olivet University becomes even more firm," reflected Juanjuan Zhang, a new student.
Academic, administration, and staff members gave presentations on available student services and amenities around campus. OTCS also held its separate orientation night for new theology students.
The orientation started with a warm welcome from the program director followed by a presentation on the relationship of Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity program with options of double majoring and joint degree programs.
OTCS orientation is a good time for faculty and students, especially new students to meet their peers and professors. We hope to begin and have a fruitful academic year," reflected Dr. Nga Wai Cheung, a faculty of OTCS.
Selected OTCS professors took the opportunity to orient students on academic expectations. Additionally, they shared insight on the upcoming course syllabus and materials needed for the coming Fall quarter.
The orientation ended with a campus tour were students visited major parts of the University property at each respective locations.
