Design school student prepares for internship placement
Congratulations to Iry Cristobal, who will join the ranks of Olivet College of Art & Design (OCAD) student interns this term. The semester-long program will allow Iry to participate as a part-time intern at a local design firm working with professional designers on projects related to web and print media.
"I want to keep working to improve my web site skills learned in the classroom by applying them to real-world projects," commented Iry about her goals for the semester. " I want to absorb as much as I can in order to apply my knowledge to projects that will advance missions in South America."
The design firm will provide Iry an opportunity to support design work for professional caliber websites. Students in the internship program write reports about their activities and progress each week, and are required to give a final presentation of their work before their OCAD program director and internship mentor.
